In this tutorial, you will learn how to:

 

• Access email inbox
• Compose an email
• Refresh the inbox/view an email
• Access email options

When a new Gmail message is received, the gmail  Gmail icon will be displayed in the Notification bar.

 

 

Access email inbox

From the home screen, select the gmail Gmail app. If you have multiple email accounts on the device, select account icon, then select the desired account. 

 

Note: To view all emails in one inbox, select the menu Menu icon > All inboxes.

Compose an email

1. From the desired inbox, select Compose.

2. Enter the recipient(s) email address, then enter the desired subject and message. Select the Attach icon and follow the prompts to add an attachment. When finished, select the Send icon. 

Note: You can also select the Drop-down icon in the sender field to change the sending inbox. To use Voice Typing, visit the Keyboard & Typing tutorial.

Refresh the inbox/view an email

Swipe down from the center of the screen to refresh the inbox. Select the desired email you would like to view.

Access email options

Select the desired option:

• REPLY: Select the Reply icon then follow the prompts to reply to the email.
• REPLY ALL: Select the menu Menu icon, then select Reply all. Follow the prompts to reply to the email.
• FORWARD: Select the menu Menu icon, then select Forward or select the Forward icon and follow the prompts to forward the email.
• VIEW AN ATTACHMENT: Select the attachment.
• DOWNLOAD AN ATTACHMENT: Select the download Download icon. 
• DELETE AN EMAIL: Select the  Delete icon to delete an email.

Note: To view saved attachments, from the home screen, select the  google photos Photos app > Collections tab > On this device > Download folder.
