1. From the home screen, press and hold the Recent Apps key.
   
2. Tap Lock screen settings.
   
3. Tap Select screen lock.
   
4. Tap Pattern.
   
5. Tap Next.
   
6. Enter the desired unlock pattern.
   Note: The pattern must connect a minimum of four points.
   
7. Tap Continue.
   
8. Re-enter the desired unlock pattern.
   
9. Tap Confirm.
   
10. Tap Next.
    
11. Enter the desired backup PIN, then tap Continue.
    
12. Re-enter the desired backup PIN, then tap OK.
    
13. To use the pattern screen lock, from the lock screen, enter the required pattern in the designated area.
