Keyboard & Typing

Keyboard functions, Auto-complete, Swype, Copy & Paste, and Keyboard settings.

  1. ACCESS THE KEYBOARD: Select a Text entry field.
    Text entry fields will appear as wide sections of white space in any text-based app, such as Messaging or Email.

  2. ACCESS SYMBOLS & NUMBERS: Select the ?123 keyUSE SPEECH-TO-TEXT: Select the Microphone icon and begin speaking your desired message. CAPITALIZE TEXT: Select the Shift key to capitalize the next letter. Double-tap the Shift key to enable or disable caps lock.

  3. ACCESS ADDITIONAL SYMBOLS: Select the ?123 key, then select the =/< key to view additional symbols

  4. EMOJIS: Select the Emojis icon. To return to the alphabet, select the Keyboard key.

  5. AUTO-COMPLETE SUGGESTIONS: Begin typing the desired word, then select the desired suggestion.

  6. SWYPE: Select and drag across each letter of the desired word with removing your finger from the screen.

  7. COPY & PASTE TEXT: Select and hold the desired text. Select and drag the Text selection handles to highlight the desired text, the select Copy. In the desired pasting location, select and hold the desired text field to place the cursor then select Paste.

  8. KEYBOARD SETTINGS: Select the Google icon, then select the Settings icon. Adjust the Keyboard settings as desired.
    To change additional keyboard settings, swipe down from the Notification bar then select the Settings icon > scroll to and select System > select Languages and input > edit the desired settings.
