1. Unlock the battery cover with a coin by turning it counter-clockwise.
   
2. Remove the battery cover by lifting it from the notch on the left side.
   
3. Insert the SIM card ensuring that the gold contacts line up.
   
4. Insert the optional memory card ensuring that the gold contacts line up.
   
5. Insert the battery, ensuring that the gold contacts line up.
   
6. Replace the battery cover and firmly press it into place.
   
7. Lock the battery cover with a coin by turning it clockwise.
   
8. If a SIM card is not in the phone, the home screen will display Insert SIM.
