Messaging Settings

Manage messaging settings such as notification alerts, Advanced Messaging, message limits, restore default settings, and emergency/AMBER alert settings.

INSTRUCTIONS & INFO
  1. ACCESS MESSAGE SETTINGS: From the home screen, select the Messaging app. Select the Menu icon, then select Settings.

  2. ADJUST NOTIFICATIONS: From the Messaging Settings screen, select Notification then adjust notification settings as desired.

  3. CHANGE NOTIFICATION SOUND: From the Notification screen, select Notification sound. Select the desired sound, then select OK.

  4. TURN ON/OFF ADVANCED MESSAGING: From the Messaging Settings screen, select More > Advanced Messaging > Advanced Messaging switch.

    Note: If Advanced Messaging is turned on and you are messaging another device using Advanced Messaging, you can share files up to 10MB, get read receipts, and see when someone is replying. To learn more, visit Advanced Messaging.

  5. ADJUST TEXT/PICTURE MESSAGE LIMIT: From the Messaging Settings screen, select More > Multimedia messages > Creation mode > select the desired option.

  6. VIEW SERVICE CENTER NUMBER: From the Messaging Settings screen, select More > select Text messages. The Service center number will be displayed

  7. RESTORE DEFAULT SETTINGS: From the Messaging Settings screen, select the Menu icon > Reset settings > select RESET to confirm.

  8. EMERGENCY ALERTS: From the home screen, swipe down from the Notification bar then select the Settings icon > Network tab > scroll to and select Wireless Emergency alerts > Menu icon > Settings > edit Emergency alerts as desired.
