1. From the Start screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
   
2. Tap ROTATION LOCK to toggle screen rotation on/off.
   
3. From the Start screen, scroll to, then tap the Settings tile.
   
4. To adjust brightness, scroll to, then tap brightness.
   
5. Tap the Automatic brightness slider to toggle on/off.
   
6. Tap the Level field.
   
7. Tap the desired option.
   
8. To edit screen timeout, scroll to, then tap lock screen.
   
9. Tap the Screen timeout field.
   
10. Tap the desired option.
