Samsung Galaxy S5 Active (G870A)


Add, view, delete, and customize contacts by adding a picture or ringtone.



  1. From the home screen, tap Contacts.
    Note: When in 'Easy' mode, no 'Groups' tab will display and you can't send business cards, merge accounts, or link contacts.

  2. To create a new contact, tap the Plus icon.

  3. Enter the contact name in the Name field.

  4. To choose where to save the new contact, tap the drop down menu next to device.

  5. Choose the desired location to save the contact.

  6. Tap the Phone number field then enter the desired phone number.

  7. Tap the Phone type field to change the assigned phone type.

  8. To add a contact photo, tap the Plus icon then follow the on-screen prompts.

  9. To set a custom ringtone, scroll to then tap Ringtone.

  10. Select the desired ringtone, then tap OK.

  11. Edit additional details as desired, then tap SAVE.

  12. To edit or delete a contact, from the Contacts page, scroll to then tap the desired contact.

  13. To edit, tap the Edit icon

  14. To delete, from the selected contact's page, tap the Menu icon

  15. Tap Delete.

  16. Tap DELETE.

  17. To backup contacts using Google, from the quick settings menu, tap the Settings icon  > User and backup section > Accounts > Google > Tap the desired account > Tap Sync Contacts
