1. From the Home screen, select Settings.
   
2. Select Messages.
   
3. Adjust the settings as desired.
   Note: Available options vary when iMessage is turned off.
   
4. To change the display settings for message notifications, go to Settings.
   
5. Select Notifications.
   
6. Select Messages.

7. Edit your Messages notifications as desired.
   
8. To enable or disable AMBER or Emergency Alerts, from the Notifications menu, scroll down and select the toggle to turn them on or off.
