1. Ensure that brightness is set to low to prolong battery life.
   Note: Swipe down from the top of the screen > Tap Settings > Tap Display > Drag the brightness slider to the desired level
   
2. Set the screen timeout to low duration.
   Note: Swipe down from the top of the screen > Tap Settings > Tap Display > Scroll to then tap Screen Timeout.
   
3. Toggle Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC services off while not in use.
   Note: To turn off, swipe down from the top of the screen and then tap the appropriate icons.
   
4. Toggle location services & GPS functionality off while not in use.
   Note: Swipe down from the top of the screen > Tap Settings > Scroll to then tap Location Services > Tap the Location Services switch
   
5. Set accounts to manual sync to prevent applications from downloading content in the background.
   Note: Swipe down from the top of the screen > Tap Settings > Tap Accounts > Tap the desired account > Tap Sync Interval > Tap Manual
   
6. Toggle Airplane mode on to significantly increase the life of the battery.
   Note: Swipe down from the top of the screen > Tap Airplane mode
