1. Ensure that Auto-brightness is toggled on to prolong battery life.
   Note: From the home screen, press the Menu key > tap 'All settings' > Under the 'Display' tab, tap the Auto-brightness checkbox
   
2. Set the Screen timeout to low.
   Note: From the home screen, press the Menu key > tap 'All settings' > tap the 'Display' tab > tap 'Screen timeout'
   
3. Toggle Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Location, and NFC services off while not in use.
   Note: Drag down from the notifications bar > tap the appropriate icons.
   
4. Avoid using Live wallpapers as they consume additional battery life.
   Note: Touch and hold an empty area of the home screen > tap 'Wallpapers' > tap another option.
   
5. Toggle off the Auto-update apps feature in the device's app store, as downloads will consume additional battery life.
   Note: From the home screen, tap 'Play Store' > tap the Play Store tab > tap 'SETTINGS' > tap 'Auto-update apps'
   
6. Toggle Auto-sync features off to prevent applications from downloading content.
   Note: From the home screen, press the Menu key > tap 'All settings' > tap the 'General' tab > tap 'Accounts & sync' > tap 'Auto-sync data'
   
7. Toggle Airplane mode on to significantly increase the life of the battery.
   Note: Press and hold the Power/Lock key > tap 'Turn on Airplane mode'
   
8. Turn on Battery saver.
   Note: From the home screen, press the Menu key > tap 'All settings' > tap the 'General' tab > tap 'Battery' > tap the 'Battery saver' switch
