Reset device

Learn how to perform a soft and factory reset of the device.

A Master Reset reverts the device back to factory settings. It will permanently erase all personal data, preferences, settings and content such as pictures, ringtones and apps that are saved to the device. Data stored to an SD card will not be erased unless otherwise selected. It is recommended that you save (backup) important data to your SIM, SD card, or a computer before proceeding.
From the home screen, press the Right soft key.
Scroll to the 'Settings' icon, then press the Center nav key.
Scroll to 'Security', then press the Center nav key.
Scroll to 'Master', then press the Center nav key.
Scroll to 'Master Reset', then press the Center nav key.
Enter the required password, then press the Center nav key.
Note: The default password is '1234'.
Press the Left soft key to confirm.
If unable to reset the device using the above steps, try the Alternate master reset method by first powering the device off.
Press and hold the End key and # key until the screen turns on.
When 'All data will be lost, continue?' appears on the screen, press the Left soft key.
The phone will display the message 'Formatting flash, pls wait!'. Do not press any keys or remove the battery while the message is displayed. The phone will automatically power up to the home screen when reset is complete.
