1. Use your AT&T device as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot to share your data connection with Wi-Fi-capable devices such as: other smartphones, tablets, netbooks, MP3 players, and more.

2. From the home screen, press the Menu key.
   
3. Tap Settings.
   
4. Tap More settings.
   
5. Tap Tethering and portable hotspot.
   
6. Tap Mobile Hotspot.
   
7. Tap Configure to edit hotspot settings.
   
8. Tap the Network SSID field to edit the hotspot display name.
   
9. Scroll to, then tap the Security field to edit the hotspot security type.
   
10. Tap the Password field to edit the hotspot password.
    
11. Tap the Mobile Hotspot switch to toggle on / off.
    
12. While mobile hotspot is toggled on, the Mobile Hotspot icon will appear in the Notifications bar.
