1. From the home screen, press the Menu key.
   
2. Tap Settings.
   
3. Scroll to, then tap About device.
   
4. Current software version will be displayed.
   
5. To update the software, tap Software update.
   
6. Tap Check for updates, then follow the on-screen instructions to update the device, if one is available.
