1. From the home screen, press the Up Nav key.
   
2. Press the Options key.
   
3. Select Settings, then press the Center Nav key.
   
4. To change notification alerts, select Sound, then press the Center Nav key.
   
5. Select the desired sound, then press the Center Nav key.
   
6. To adjust emergency alert settings, from the message inbox, press the Options key.
   
7. Select Emergency alerts, then press the Center Nav key.
   
8. Press the Options key.
   
9. Press the Center Nav key.
   
10. Adjust the emergency alerts settings as desired.
