1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to reveal the Action center.
   
2. Tap ALL SETTINGS.
   
3. Tap lock screen.

4. Scroll to, then tap the Password switch.
   
5. Enter the desired password.
   
6. Tap the Confirm password field, then re-enter the chosen password.
   
7. Tap Done.
   
8. Tap the Require a password after field, then tap the desired option.
   
9. To change the password, tap change password.
   
10. To access the device using a password, from the lock screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
    
11. Enter your password.
