1. Registering a Google account allows you to download and purchase content in the Google Play Store, access email through the Gmail application, receive personalized Google Search results, and have your account automatically logged in for all other Google-based services on your device.
   
2. From the home screen, tap the Settings icon.
   
3. Tap Accounts.
   
4. Tap Add account.
   
5. Tap Google.
   
6. Tap the Email field.
   Note: If you need a Google account, tap 'New' and follow the on-screen prompts, or visit www.gmail.com.
   
7. Enter the desired email address, then tap NEXT.
   
8. Tap the Password field.
   
9. Enter the required password, then tap NEXT.
   
10. Tap ACCEPT.
    
11. Tap NEXT.
    
12. The Google account is now set up.
