1. From the home screen, press the Right Soft key.
   
2. Scroll to Settings, then press the Center Nav key.
   
3. Scroll to Display, then press the Center Nav key.
   
4. Scroll to Brightness, then press the Center Nav key.
   
5. Press the Left and Right Nav keys to adjust the brightness, then press the Right Soft key.
   
6. To change the backlight timer duration, scroll to Backlight Timer and then press the Center Nav key.
   
7. With Display selected, press the Center Nav key.
   
8. Scroll to the desired option, then press the Center Nav key.
