1. To access the Messaging settings screen, from the home screen, tap the Messaging icon > Menu icon > Settings.
   
2. To change the messaging notification alert, from the home screen, tap the Messaging icon > Menu icon > Settings > Scroll to then tap Select ringtone.
   
3. To change emergency alert settings, from the home screen, tap the Messaging icon > Menu icon > Settings > Scroll to then tap Receive emergency alerts.
   
4. To view/edit the Service Center number, from the home screen, tap the Messaging icon > Menu icon > Settings > Tap Service Center.
   
5. To adjust the SMS/MMS limit, from the home screen, tap the Messaging icon > Menu icon > Settings > Tap to check the Delete old messages box > Tap to set the desired limit.
   
6. To change the display style, from the home screen, tap the Messaging icon > Menu icon > Settings > Bubble and background.
   
7. To restore default settings, from the home screen, tap the Messaging icon > Menu icon > Settings > Menu icon > Restore default settings.
