  1. Registering a Google account allows you to download and purchase content in the Google Play Store, access email through the Gmail application, receive personalized Google Search results, and have your account automatically logged in for all other Google based services on your device.

  2. From the home screen, drag down from the top of the screen with two fingers to reveal the menu.

  3. Tap SETTINGS.

  4. Scroll to, then tap Accounts & sync.

  5. Tap the Add icon.

  6. Tap Google.

  7. Tap Existing.
    Note: If you need a Google account, tap 'New' and follow the on-screen prompts, or visit https://accounts.google.com/signup.

  8. Enter your login information, then tap the Right arrow icon.
    Note: To reset your password or recover your account info, go to http://google.com/accounts/recovery.

  10. If Upgrade to Google+ is displayed, tap Not Now
    Note: To set up Google+ later, tap Apps > Google+.

  11. Tap the desired options, then tap the Forward arrow icon.
