1. To turn on the Battery saving features of your device, swipe down from the top of the screen, then tap the Settings icon.
   
2. Scroll to and tap Battery.
   
3. You can prolong battery life with phone modes that save power. Tap Power saving mode to turn on Power saving mode.
   
4. Here, you can also view Battery usage by app.
   
5. To set the screen timeout to a shorter duration, tap Settings icon > Display > Screen timeout > Select desired time.
   
6. Turn Location Services & GPS off when not in use by dragging down from the top of the screen > tap Location.
   
7. To turn off auto-update apps tap Play Store > menu icon > Settings > Auto-update apps.
   
8. To turn off auto sync, swipe down from the top of the screen > tap EDIT > Sync.
   Note: Remember to turn auto sync back on to allow apps to download new data like email, social media posts, etc.
   
9. If you are traveling and do not have access to mobile or Wi-Fi network, switch to Airplane mode.
   Note: To turn Airplane mode on or off swipe down from the top of the screen > tap EDIT > Airplane mode.
   
10. To turn auto brightness on or off, tap Settings > Display > Auto Brightness checkmark box.
