1. To access the text & picture message settings screen, from the home screen, tap the Messaging icon.
   
2. Tap the Menu icon.
   
3. Tap Settings.
   
4. To adjust text/picture message limit, tap Text message limit or Multimedia message limit, choose the Desired limit and then tap SET.
   
5. To turn notification alerts on and off, scroll to and tap Notifications.
   
6. To change the notification sound, tap Sound and follow the prompts to choose a ringtone.
   
7. To set emergency alerts, from the inbox, tap the Menu icon.
   
8. Tap Emergency Alerts.
   
9. Tap the Menu icon.
   
10. Tap Settings.
    
11. Adjust Settings as desired.
