1. To access message settings, from the home screen, tap Messages.
   
2. Tap MORE.
   
3. Tap Settings.
   
4. To edit notification settings, tap Notifications.
   
5. Tap the Notifications switch to toggle notification alerts on/off. Edit additional settings as desired.
   
6. To change the messaging display style, from the Messages settings screen, tap Backgrounds.
   
7. Swipe to then tap the desired background style.
   
8. To access emergency alert settings, from the 'Messaging settings' screen, tap Emergency alert settings.
   
9. Tap Emergency alerts.
   
10. Select Desired alert types to receive.
    
11. To view the Message Center number, from the Messages settings screen, tap More settings.
    
12. Tap Text messages.
    
13. Tap Message center to edit the number.
