1. To find the software version of the device, swipe down from the Notification bar, then tap All settings.
   
2. In the settings menu tap System.
   
3. Tap About.
   
4. Tap More Info.
   
5. To check if your phone’s software is the most recent version, from the settings menu, scroll to, then tap Update & security.
   
6. Tap Phone update.
   
7. Tap check for updates.
