Camera Modes

Learn what camera modes are available on your device and what each mode does.

To access the Camera app, from the home screen select the Camera app. Alternately, from the lock screen, press the volume down button twice or swipe the Camera icon up. In this tutorial, you will learn how to access the following:


• Camera modes
• Manual photo mode
• Portrait Mode
• Sticker Mode
• Google Lens
• Night View


This tutorial requires you to open the Camera app. From the home screen, select the camera app Camera app. To access the camera from the lock screen, select and drag the camera icon Camera icon up or press the volume down button twice. 




Camera modes

From the Camera app, swipe left or right to the the desired camera mode.

To access additional camera features such as Slo-mo, Panorama, and Time-lapse, from the camera screen swipe left to More then select the desired camera mode


Note: Slo-mo allows you to record videos in slow motion. Panorama allows you to create a wide photo of a panoramic view. Time-lapse records a video that plays back faster than normal. The higer the recording speed, the more the video will be compressed.

Manual photo mode

Swipe left to select More, then select Manual Camera. Select the desired settings, then adjust as desired.

Note: Manual photo mode allows you to use more sophisticated camera settings while taking photos.

Portrait Mode

From the Camera app, swipe left to Portrait. Select the adjust settings as desired, then select the Capture icon.

Sticker mode

From the Camera app, swipe left to Sticker. Swipe left or right to and select the desired option

Google Lens

From the Camera app, select the Google Lens icon.

Night View

From the Camera app, swipe left to More then select Night view. Select and drag the Night view slider to the desired setting.
