Insert or Remove SIM & Memory Card

Get instructions about how to install or remove a SIM or memory card for your device.

MicroSD/memory cards expand the storage capacity of the device and are sold separately. This device can use a microSD card up to 128GB.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to:

• Locate SIM tray
• Insert or remove SIM & microSD card

 

No SIM card will be displayed in the Notification bar when there is no SIM card in the device.



Locate SIM tray

The SIM & microSD tray is located on the back of the device under the back cover. To remove the back cover, use the indent on the bottom left side of the device.

Note: To prevent data corruption, it is recommended to unmount your memory card before removing it. To unmount your memory card, from the home screen swipe down from the Notification bar with two fingers, then select the settings Settings icon > Storage > eject Eject icon.

Insert or remove SIM & microSD card

With the back cover removed, insert or remove a SIM & microSD card. When finished, replace the back cover.

• INSERT/REMOVE SIM CARD: To insert the SIM card, you must first remove the battery from the back of the device. Use the notch on the bottom right side of the battery to remove the battery. Insert or remove the Nano SIM card into the SIM tray with the gold contacts facing down and the notched edge in the upper left. Gently slid the SIM card into the SIM tray.
• INSERT/REMOVE MICROSD CARD: Insert or remove the microSD card into the SIM tray with the gold contacts facing down and the notched edge on the upper left. Gently press the microSD card in until it clicks into place.

Internal Memory: Up to 32GB
External Memory: Up to 128GB
