Call Features

Get familiar with in-call options, including muting and speakerphone, as well as advanced call features, such as creating a conference call.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to:

• Access In-call options
• Set up and use speed dial
• Add favorite contacts
• Create a conference call
• Decline a call with a text message
• Enable/disable call waiting
• Swap between active calls

Access In-call options

While on an active call, the following options will be available:

• MUTE/UNMUTE: Press the Left Menu key to select Mute.
• ENABLE/DISABLE SPEAKERPHONE: Press the OK button.
• ADD CALL: Press the Right Menu key to select Options. Press the navigation keys to highlight Add call, then press the OK button and follow the prompts.
• HOLD/RESUME CALL: Press the Right Menu key to select Options. Press the navigation keys to highlight Hold call, then press the OK button.
• END CALL: Press the Power/Hang Up button.

 


Set up and use speed dial

SET UP:

1. From the home screen, press the right navigation key to access the Contacts app. 

Note: Alternately, you can access the Contacts app from the Apps tray.

2. Press the Right Menu key to select Options. Press the navigation keys to highlight Speed dial, then press the OK button.

3. Press the navigation keys to highlight the desired speed dial number, then press the OK button to select Set. Press the navigation keys to highlight the desired contact, then press the OK button to select. 

Note: To remove or replace a speed dial number, from the Speed dial screen, press the navigation keys to highlight the desired speed dial number > OK button > desired option > follow the prompts to complete.

USE
: Press and hold the desired Speed dial number on the keypad.

Add favorite contacts

1. From the Contacts app, press the navigation keys to highlight the desired contact, then press the OK button to select View.

2. Press the Right Menu key to select Options. Press the navigation keys to highlight Set as favorite, then press the OK button.

Create a conference call

From an active call, press the Right Menu key to select Options. Press the navigation keys to highlight Add call, then press the OK button and follow the prompts. To end a call, press the Power/Hang Up button. 

Note: When creating a Conference call, after connecting with a second caller, you will need to merge the calls to combine the separate phone calls. Press the Right Menu key to select Options. Press the navigation keys to highlight Merge call, then press the OK button.

Decline a call with a text message

When receiving a call, press the Left Menu key to decline the call and send a text message. Press the navigation keys to highlight the desired text message to send then press the OK button, or press the Left Menu key to select New to write your own.

Note: To create or edit text message replies, from the Settings screen, press the navigation keys to navigate to Call settings, then press the OK button to select Call settings > Ignore with message > desired option. Use the keypad to enter the desired message, then press the OK button to select Save.

Enable/disable call waiting

Call waiting allows you to accept additional incoming phone calls and put a currently active call on hold. To enable this feature, from the Settings screen press the navigation keys to navigate to Call settings then press the OK button to select Call settings > Additional settings > Call waiting. Press the navigation keys to highlight the desired option, then press the OK button to select.

Swap between active calls

While call waiting is enabled and a call is put on hold, press the Right Menu key to select Options. Press the navigation keys to highlight Swap call, then press the OK button to return to the held call.
