The cable does not work...apparently it is not the same cable that is the data cable with the modem. I was just ordering for more length. I am not returning since you charge a restocking fee.

Q: The port for my cable is green, the cable says Cat5e but the ones in store are too big for my port. How do I find the cord I need? My modem uses the same size port as a telephone jack. So would it be called cat5e with rj11 connectors?

- A: Hi @Puf409 It depends if the wall jack is a phone jack or a DSL jack. This cable is for a phone jack as it is a RJ-11 which has 4 wires versus an RJ45 which has 8 wires inside. Take a look at your current cable and see if you see the difference in the number of wires at the connectors tip. I have used a phone cord and an ethernet cord to show the difference in the size of the connector since the RJ-45 will not fit into the RJ-11 jack that a phone uses. Hope that helps.
