Hot Spot
I haven't had this equipment but a short time but it operates about the same as my previous equipment. That hot spot was used up and showed problems because of age, so purchased a new model.

Horrible!!!
I have had this thing for over a year and a half on a two year contract. The first year, it worked great. Shortly after that it turned horrible. I keep it at my home so I can connect to cameras and smart plugs while I am away for a few days. Sometimes it would disconnect everything attached to it so I couldn't access my home while I was away. Sometimes the thing would shut down completely. I have called support many times, and I get conflicting answers. One person says to keep it plugged into a See more

One person says to keep it plugged into a hot outlet all the time, someone else would tell me to keep it plugged into a timer so it is not plugged into a hot outlet all the time, cet, ect,ct. I can't wait until the contract is up for this POC so I can trash it and hopefully get another device that might work properly for the contract term!!!

Q: I see external antennas listed for use with the Velocity 2 Hot Spot. I see reviews stating the unit has no ports or jacks other than the Micro USB charging port. Does the Velocity 2 Hot Spot unit have a port or jack for an external antenna?

A: I have one in my hand and it has a cover that protects two TS9 External Antenna Jacks labeled 1 and 2.
It also has a card sled that will allow you to put in a microSDXC card for file sharing on the local network.
