Worth It
Got the device 3 days ago in Atlanta. I was primarily going to use it as a hotspot which it is very good at - but have fell in love with the projector.
Somethings about the product that are not mentioned but noteworthy:
1.) You can hide your SSID if you want to
2.) While using it as a hotspot - it can not run in dual band mode - you have to choose between 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz
3.) For me, the Google Play Store App doesn't connect - I tried closing the app and opening it again with no luck. Ended up dSee more

If you want to use this with an iPhone, the only way to connect is via hdmi and then the Bluetooth audio connection will not work. The ZTE web page for this device mentions a remote control app (android only), but the AT&T version of the projector appears to have removed the setting that would support the remote control app. You can only control this by operating the controls directly on the device. ZTE Spro2

I bought the about two weeks ago and so far I'm very satisfied. I had the previous mini projector from AT&T (Miroir) and I was very pleased. This ZTE projector by far out shines the Miroir projector. Just the fact that I don't need to connect it to my phone was a big plus. Not to mention it's running 120 lumens more. The auto adjust is hugh. Screen mirroring allows content from phone wirelessly. It supports a 64GB micro SD card and USB. I can go on an on about why I love the mini projector so much. It's a great buy and would definitely recommend to anyone. My kids love it.

Don’t expect it to last

We've had this device 13 months and have absolutely LOVED this projector and have recommended it to many people but.....we will have to reconsider that recommendation. This is used less than once a week and this evening i was told by company that it would cost us an additional 1/3 of the total proce to send the device in and have the bulb replaced. If a pricy device cannot be counted on to work, when being used less than once a week, for more than a year....it's just not worth it, no matter how cool the features are.
No, I do not recommend this product.

nice little multitasking device

not a bad device. Projector image is decent enough to enjoy movies as long as the device is not to far away and the image is stretched out to far. hot spot capabilities is just like any other hotspot on the market so nothing special there. only problem is im not able to make changes to the IP settings because when trying to log into the admin settings the connection is refused. I travel for a living and i use my hotspot as my main internet source, but thanks to AT&T and their dictatorship settings im not able to get the best out of the device. However for movie/tv show watching and basics internet use it does the job fine enough.

Q: Can I get TV on this

1 Answer
A: Hi jerryjax!
The ZTE Spro 2 is a great product and I understand how you would be interested in it! It auto-adjusts to any surface you are projecting a movie, video, game or tv show on. Since it has tablet capabilities, you can download TV apps to watch the TV service you want! It is recommended to keep it plugged in if you are planning to project for long periods of time to keep the battery from draining completely before you are done.
I hope this helps! Have a fantastic day!

Q: Does this work with data free streaming using apps such as DirecTV, DirecTV NOW, and Fullscreen?

A: Hey dnunes4,
Excellent question! You can definitely screen mirror from your devices. So you can stream the application on your phone, and then mirror it to the projector. I would love to have this and watch movies in the back yard with the family. Having the dual functionality as a hotspot is great!
I hope this helps have a great day!

Q: Can I use the projector just for movies through wifi or do I HAVE TO get an AT&T plan?
1 Answer
A: Hi Natalie7!
The ZTE Spro 2 Smart Projector is a fantastic on-the-go way to share media with friends and family! Not only can you get apps from Google Play, and expand the memory for more storage, you can also turn the projector into a hot-spot for your other devices.
Based on the technical specifications we have, the device will need to have a qualifying data plan, as it cannot connect to Wi-FI on its own. This may be an update later on down the road from ZTE, so I would keep an eye out.
Thanks for asking!

Q: Do you need to have an at&t contract in order to purchase this and use it over home wifi?
1 Answer
A: Hey Matt136994,
This is a great question Matt! No you don’t need to be in a contract with us to purchase the ZTE Spro 2 Smart Projector. When you are shopping on our site go to the ZTE Spro 2 page and hit Continue, then choose New Wireless Customer, this should bring you to the Choose how you want to pay for your device. You can buy this without a contract for $449.99. This can be a hotspot; being a hotspot is not required and can connect to your in home Wi-Fi.
I hope this helps and Happy New Year!
