Nice Phone
I was really unsure about getting this phone, since it has an overwhelming amount of negative reviews. However, I've had it for almost 2 weeks now, and have come across NONE of the problems mentioned in the reviews. It has pretty good battery life and is a nice size. I don't like the fact that if you don't lock the screen while talking on the phone, it dials other numbers -- while you're still talking to someone else. That gets annoying. It also doesn't have very good camera quality, but that isn't a big deal to me. So far, I really like this phone, and I would recommend it. It's not a smartphone, so don't expect smartphone quality. But for a nonsmartphone-phone, its decent(:

It's horrible.
Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong with this phone. It freezes, shuts off even during conversations, gives you the same text over 20 times, deletes pictures, runs slow, has software bugs, and the battery drains. The texting buttons are so small it's impossible to text without having the autocorrect on. It's absolutely horrible. There are too many problems to even worry about it. And if you hate the phone, the only phone they will give you is the same exact one. So if you choose to buy it, have fun dealing with garbage for 2 years.

Very frequent freezing, restarting, and overheat issues
13 years ago
I had this phone for several months, where it worked well enough, but from day one it crashed several times a day. When it crashes, it occasionally restarts itself, (perhaps it did this many times without my knowing? It did call and do other things in my pocket, even though I had locked it earlier...) Most often I had to pull the battery out. Chrases happened when texts came in, a few times during calls, and at seemingly random times. It also overheated many frequently, cooling off after chrash/restart. A few times it crashed when an alarm was supposed to go off. (it only allows 4 alarms....) Recently, it crashed, and now refuses to start again, getting stuck on the startup 'htc' screen, but never beyond. Though a minor annoyance, it also recieves texts multiple times. Also, the keyboard frequently froze, or would type only in numbers/alt-text, or would only not allow the press/hold for numbers/alt-text.
Though this phone is cool, and easy to use, it's hardly functional.
Prosmenus, ease of use
Conssoftware bugs, freezes, recieves a single text more than once, buggy texting
No, I do not recommend this product.

Good idea, horrendous execution
I had to return my first phone within 30 days due to all of the freezes. That was November. The new one was marginally better, but we still had to pop out the battery 2-3 times a week to reset the phone. Today, it stopped working again. Won't get past the splash screen. They are sending me yet another one. I wish I could substitute another model for this piece of garbage. It's a real shame, too. The phone has all of the nice features and interface that you could want from a non-smartphone. But it never lives up to its promise. What good are slick design and features if they don't work?

So much potential.

This phone probally would have been my all time favorite phone except for the fact that in the first 6 hours of use its froze 3 time. Everything else is great but it seems they had a great idea with this phone and just put in terrible execution.

Q: How much does the non-smartphone ulimited data plan cost?
i am hearing alot of things about a non-smartphone data plan so i was wondering how much it would cost.

A: The HTC Freestyle is a smartphone, so it would not apply to that device. But the data plan for standard devices costs $10 per month and complete details are available here http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/plans/data-plans.jsp?fbid=3gPDUffD7n_ -Erwin, AT&T Social Media Manager

A: There's a small amount of internal memory for storing pictures, but it does support microSD cards of anywhere from 1GB to 32GB for additional storage. You can find them in stores and on the web for pretty good prices these days.
