I have had the iPhone before. I had the iPhone 3GS, and then I went to a blackberry torch, to this phone. This phone is yes, just as "heavy" as the iPhone was, before the new iPhone 4/4S came out. Here are my following statements about the 3 phones that I have had in the past 2 years, about.
iPhone 3GS: Don't get me wrong, I love Apple products as much as the next, and the iPhone was awesome when I first had it! It was a nice "easy to operate" phone. Meaning, it was very easy to do, no "complications" were there. As in, it was just what you see, is what you get, no real customization, except to the change the background from different apps that provide you with different backgrounds. The Apple's Operation System(OS) was very good, nice speed and nice loading time when downloading multiple downloads. The only thing I didn't like about it was the battery life, and YES, YOU WILL HAVE BATTERY COMPLICATIONS BECAUSE... it depends how much you use it during the day, what you do, and it ALSO DEPENDS on how much battery power it needs for the operation system to rely on. Overall, I loved the iPhone, but got bored of it because it was very, "plain" for such a "high tech" phone.
Blackberry Torch: I got this phone to replace the iPhone 3GS, because I thought I liked the actual physical keyboard more then the touch screen, and to my surprise this phone had BOTH! I was amazed by it, and decided to go with it. To my surprise, it was an AWFUL phone. The texting on it was awesome, of course, but that was if you were using the actual keyboard, not the touch screen's keyboard. The phone was very gentle when you switched it from side to side to use it as a landscape. When texting on it's touch screen, it would have the auto-coorect on, but usually that doesn't annoy me, but this one did. The keys on it were too small, and while typing, it wouldn't suggest the right word, when obviously, I KNOW HOW TO SPELL! So, non the least, I got bored of it because it also didn't have interesting apps, and I would thought so. I missed my iPhone, but didn't want the iPhone. So, that's when I got the HTC Inspire!
HTC Inspire: I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this phone! It is very customizable with how you want your layout to be on this phone. It comes with preloaded layouts for you to choose from, so you can never get board with just the one look. It also has ringtones for you to choose from, all from the HTC Hub. This has themes, ringtones (for not only the calling tone, but also for the text message ringtone, and other reminders), widgets for you to add onto your phone, like a calendar, a clock, note pads, etc! Besides the look, I would have to say that the operation system for the Android is just as good, or even better then the iPhone! The speed on this is really good! I have some lags every once in a while because of how much I use it, switching from app to app to the browser. The battery, yes, it dies easily, just like any other "high tech" phone would. Again, it's most likely from how much you use it, and how much power it needs for the operating system to run on, along with what apps you have running in the background. THE CAMERA of this phone, I can't get enough of! It takes amazing pictures, and if you want to "photoshop" the images with basic stuff, you can easily do that all on the phone, by editing the photo, and choosing the "photoshop" look you want. For example, if you want your image to be in Black and white, or high contrast in color, etc! WHAT'S GREAT ABOUT THIS PHONE... is that it is also a portable wifi system. I have tried it, and it works wonderfully! Just got to make sure it's off when your done, because that uses up your a lot of your data! Overall, if you feel like you want to get out of the box from Apple's "what you see is what you got, no glitz at all" kind of phone, then get this one!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT! PS: It took used to knowing where everything is, but once you know where everything is, YOU WILL LOVE IT!
PSS: If the volume isn't high enough for you, let's say you're watching a Youtube Video, and you can't hear it even if you have Youtube's volume all the way up, press up on your phone's volume adjuster, and it would make it louder for you!
