So, I can now comment on the g3 as well due to the fact that I went out and got one for myself. I now have both the m8 and the g3. In regards to user experience, they are two totally different animals. They are both incredible phones. It's like comparing two of the best presidents we've ever had, one Republican, one Democrat. It's Reagan vs Clinton. The m8 is a more sophisticated, conservative and refined experience. Whereas the g3 is a more bold, colorful in your face experience. The latter of the two is more in tune with what I like out of a phone, but don't get me wrong, there are days when I do miss that m8 I gave to my wife. I wrote in depth about the m8 in my last post, so this one is dedicated to the g3. I am absolutely in love with this phone. I have never been able to hold on to the same phone for more than a couple months due to my uncontrollable desire to always have the latest and greatest. I think I may have finally found my cellular soul mate. Take away the fact that the unbelievable screen display drains my battery quicker than I'd like, this phone is almost unbeatable. I didn't say perfect, I said unbeatable. No phone is perfect. If Lg could find away to iron out some minor lag issues, improve battery life while keeping the same wonderful display and some how incorporate a stylus into the user experience (ie.. The galaxy note 3), it would then be a perfect phone. Lg needs to do some minor tweaking in regards to how their software interacts with the Android operating system. They have created a masterpiece, they just need to get a little better presenting it on androids canvas. There is not one thing this phone can't handle or isn't capable of doing. The build quality pleasantly surprised me as did the design. Yes the phone is light, yes the phone is plastic, but it doesn't feel cheap whatsoever. I am a prior owner of the g flex, the Optimus g and the Optimus g pro. All three of the phones felt cheap to me and the user interface seemed almost childlike. Lg has really stepped up their game with this phone. This phone is beautiful to look at and the interface is fun, fluid and for lack of better words, has grown up. Lg has simultaneously evolved and matured. I've read many reviews that state how the phone while being plastic looks like brushed metal due to the plastic back being painted to resemble that likeness. I'm here to tell you they are wrong. The phone is beautiful as I stated above, but folks, plastic is plastic and the back looks like exactly what it is... plastic. However, the "painted plastic" looks great and feels great in the hand. The front is 99 percent beautiful screen that has become near and dear to my finicky heart. My only complaint with the screen is that it smudges super easy. I find myself cleaning it off constantly, but to me that is a small price to pay for something that gives me so much pleasure otherwise. Before I go I would like to touch on one more thing. There seems to be a current fad with manufacturers developing interactive cases for their flagship devices. Samsung has done it with the s view, HTC has done it with the dot case and LG has done it with the circle case. I have hands on experience with all three. Lg's interactive protector is hands down the most functional and efficient. I just thought I would toss that out there. Have a great day and thanks for not reading this.
