An IPhone and Blackberry...wrapped into one.

I rarely buy new phones...my last one of 2 1/2 years finally commited "cellucide." Forging a new relationship is like getting a new pet---it needs to fit your lifestyle. In saying that, I LOVE this phone.
It is touch screen and QWERTY which is a bonus. I have chubby fingers and the touch screen is very giving to your fingertips. Being a fast typer the QWERTY is very handy and user-friendly.
I haven't opened the manual yet (I know I should)...but the Xenon is so accessible you can figure its functions without it. Some have complained, but I am grateful that the Xenon automatically locks itself. Avoids unwanted calling and will save you on battery life.
I don't need the glamour and superfluous programs of an IPhone or Blackberry, and here you still receive the best of both worlds its in functionality...and a better price.
It's a beginning of a beautiful friendship, and one I hope that lasts for a long time!

This phone is overall all right. It looks nice, the keys feel great and are just the size of your thumbs, and it's easy to understand-I learned how to use it after fooling around with it in the store. Texting feels natural with this phone: just slide out the keyboard, press the text button, and start texting. This phone has a VERY loud speaker, perfect for music or speakerphone.
However, there are two MAJOR cons with this phone regarding texting.
One, when you're in your text inbox, the phone lags a ton. It's almost painful to use when it lags this much.
Two, the phone can only hold a maximum of 150 texts, unless you have unlimited data. For those of you who don't, like me, 150 is not that many texts. I've had to delete many a conversation because of this limitation.
Some small cons include the battery life, which isn't that great, but at least it can get through the day. Also, when switching from landscape to portrait, your icons on the home screen (music player, calendar) get moved to the edges of the screen, which is annoying. Also, you can't delete individual texts; you have to delete the entire conversation, which is also annoying.
In short, this phone is just average. It has a very sleek design, as well as a very smart texting interface. However, the battery won't hold up too long, especially if you text a lot, and be ready to experience a lot of lag and delete a lot of conversations. If you can endure those two cons, then I definitely recommend this phone

good keyboard until it stops working

I bought this phone in the end of 2010 after my sister broke my old phone. i was excited to have a full keyboard and it worked great for about 4 months until the keyboad stopped working. i took it back to the store and they fixed it. 3 months later the same thing happened and it was repaired again. after another month or two it got dropped in to a bath and after being put in a hot water cupboard for a while it worked again for about 2 months before the screen would randomly flip and go into negatives, requiring me to remove the battery and restart thephone. i haven't had it for about a year now and i kind of miss the proper keypad as it was great for texting but i love my iphone

Great little phone

Worked great for a long time, very few problems. no major issues. As it nears the end of it's life the touch screen is jumpy and it will power off randomly. Served faithfully for 2 years.

Nice but a few problems

My LG Xenon gr500 is pretty good. But the screen can be extremely prone to scratches which is especially bad since it's a touchscreen. The battery life can get pretty low after a day or two. The QWERTY keypad is excellent but I just wish it can control the screen along with your own hands. It wasn't a problem before, but now the screen is not registering my touch correctly. It went from perfect to slightly off to end-to-end off and now frozen. I'm now getting a new phone. Touchscreen, LG. but if that one is also bad, I will buy from another product of phones. Overall this phone is OK.

Awsome and have only had 1 problem

Ive had this phone since 2009 christmas and have only had one problem before but it stopped and ive never had problem since it is a great phone only thing i would need is longer battery life but other then that. AWESOME!
