It SURPRISED ME! (Typical Samsung Lover....)

I started with a Samsung Galaxy Note, which I LOVE!! But it started to have some problems shutting itself off & on & just some tech issues, so I traded it in. It took me awhile to decide on a phone, considering you use it for two years. I usually only choose the Samsung products. After 10 years of having a cell phone, I have learned which ones last, which ones are the "pretty" ones, which ones are simple, yet tough, I just believe I know my phones & Samsung seems to have all of these qualities and last the two year stint. This time, I was talked into, well I say talked into, it was my choice, but the AT&T Rep was pushing the LG Optimus G at me. I wasn't quite sure... I've had LG's before, those are usually the pretty little light up phones. Then I found the Optimus G Pro and we started doing some research on this phone. It sounded to be everything I wanted in a phone, but I was going to be unfaithful to a phone I had used for at least the past 6 years?! I would say I'm pretty pleased.. I'd give it an 8 out of 10. I miss my Galaxy Note, but it does take some time to get use to your new phone. It has some really neat features, probably ones I don't even know about yet! So yes, this is the phone of the times!! As I do still love ya Samsung ;) (Who will probably come out with something AWESOME within the next month or so and rub this in my face for being a TRADER! LOL!) Happy shopping!

Worst phone, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

I have read quite a few of these reviews and it is plainly obvious that the people writing them have only had their phone a short time. I have had this phone for almost a year now and here are ALL the issues with the phone: Battery does not last very long at all if you do not kill, close, and clear all recent apps, HORRIBLE, and by horrible, I mean the ABSOLUTE WORST PHONE for multitasking. You want to text while receiving a text, nope, it will freeze and not let you type anything, or when it is on the automatic app killer. Any time something else is going on from receiving a text, or pandora changing songs, the phone freezes up and you cannot text. The service will randomly go out, or even if you have 4G LTE and 4-5 service bars, pandora will freeze, maps will lose your location, the location services on this phone only work on WiFi now, and that is some of the time. I have the weather app and it will say I am in a city 15 miles away from where I live when I am at home. Any time you want to look up an address, and not directions, it won't let you without having a starting point. The location services NEVER works anymore, especially after this last update. I have had nothing but problems with this phone.
Now, I originally bought this phone because the iPhone was too small and I needed a phone with a much bigger screen. It was perfect when I first got it and the best thing ever!! It was very easy to navigate through and making the switch from the iPhone to this LG. I used to love my phone and brag about it. However though, after 6 months, it didn't go down slow, no, it straight up crashed. Went from lightning fast everything, to, I may as well have my laptop hooked up to dial up. The lock screen rarely works anymore when I want to open up one of the preset apps. I have to swipe to unlock it then click on the app that I want to use. If you do not have a passcode on the phone, when you leave it in your pocket, doing anything from going for a walk with the dogs, to just leaving it in your pocket while you are at work, it will randomly open and start navigating though different apps/settings. I have on several occasions taken my phone out from my pocket and the font is different, size of the font is bigger or smaller, and one time it changed to a different language.
So in closing, unless the bugs and kinks have been worked out in the newer phones, I would say don't waste your money. I want to throw this phone on a daily basis and hope that the new iPhone comes out soon!!

Terrible GPS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd phone, each of the other phones had issues where the GPS would not connect. The rest of the features are fine, but the maps is the main feature I've used and the GPS is extremely unreliable. It's already had trouble once on this phone and I'm just waiting for it to have trouble connecting and staying connected like the other phones :(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LG products have been my go to. I bought the G2 smartphone and fell in love. It was the best product. As time went on, I had to replace it because due to someone destroying it. At that point I knew only LG had the products I enjoy and reliable products at that. For years, I have turned to LG for my electronics. Thanks for making great products!

Q: Transferring data (videos, pics, texts, contact lists, etc.) I currently have an iPhone 4 and am wanting to replace it with the Optimus G Pro. When I got the iPhone, I bought it in an AT&T store and the sales rep transferred my data from my old phone (a Samsung; can't remember the model) to the iPhone for me. Can I do the same myself and if so how would I do it? I've transferred some of my pics to my computer already. Thanks!

- A: I don't know your exact question, but I have no trouble transferring files to or from the SD card inside my phone. Just connect the phone as a media device and you can access files through windows explorer.12 years agoHelpful?
