i recently got this phone and i was about to get the samsung impression, but im glad i didnt! the LG VU plus is so much nicer looking and not as bulky. the full keyboard is reallyeasy to use and the touchscreen is so quick to respond! on the home screen, there is a small arrow and if you click it, a task bar appears and you drag the icons that you like and it appears on the home screen! its so cool! some icons are clock, calender, notes, world, clock, music player, and a photo slideshow. i highly recommend it.

The phone it self is okay i wish LG would start improving the batteries they use however! I've had two LG phones within 2010 its only July! The problem with ALL LG PHONES IS THE BATTERY & if it doesnt have a good battery then there's no point in getting the phone b/c you cant do anything! Ugh i just cant win! The Display is perfect, the keyboard is a plus and the Camera is incredible! but if u recieve a text while ur on the phone it freezes then cuts off! After having a full battery! Um for the battery alone i wouldnt recommend this to a friend! Sure you could always buy a new one but after paying for a new phone who the heck wants to buy a new battery! IT WILL JUST BE A WASTE OF MONEY! ALL THE BATTERIES ARE TRASH!! STAY AWAY FROM LG!!!

Great phone

I have had this phone for almost two years. it is the best phone yet. I don't need a smart phone. I can go to my PC to get e-mails and facebook. I bought it for calls and texting. Not easy to text on flip phones. Just wish they had the same phone with a larger screen like smart phones have. No paint chipping. I bought a clear case for it.

I love this phone! I've had this phone for probably about a year now, and haven't had any troubles. I've read some other reviews, like how the touch screen doesn't work when you slide open the key board... but mine works perfectly fine. Most of the problems people are writing about are personal ones that involve only their phones. Either that, or mine is the only one they manufactured that works correctly. But, overall this phone has a very easy to use key board, all the tools and things you need, and has good sound quality. I would definitely recommend it for you :)

A good overall phone, but has its cons

I love this phone! The texting is great. I love viewing my texts in the conversation mode instead of an inbox/outbox/sent folder. My phone, however, screwed up when we set our clocks back an hour. It would say I received my texts a half hour later than the time I received them. It was weird...
The paint on the phone isn't very durable. My phone hasn't gone through any major drops, but the paint has chipped severely.
The camera is pretty good, considering it's a phone camera. 3 megapixel cameras are hard to find in a phone.
The battery life lasts about two days, sending a little bit over 500 messages, with silent mode on! (Vibrate mode uses a third of your battery)
The alarm clock feature is good, too. You can personally design the home screen with different Widgets (alarm clock, pic slideshow, music player, calender, ect.).
The music player is awesome. You do, however, have to buy special headphones for it, though. I put music from iTunes on a microSD card. The phone hasn't had a problem yet with the music player.
Overall, this phone is a great one! I wouldn't recommend this to adults (I would suggest a smart phone for them!), though. But if this is your first phone, or if you are a teenager, this is a great product to try out!

reliable phone

Bought this phone over a year ago for my wife. We have 2 boys under the age of 6 and she would often let them play games, take pictures and entertain themselves with the phone and it took the abuse in stride and kept performing as well as the day it was received. Great phone for those who don't want/can't handle a smartphone. Easy to use and navigate menus.
