Being a teenager, this is my first upgrade from a RAZR V3 I believe. Needless to say, this is an improvement.
For those of us without the need for a business phone, just for texting phone usage and casual internet this is the right phone. The battery, is incredible for those who do not stay connected to the internet. I went without the internet or calling for one day, just text, and the battery lasted over 7 hours before I got home and started charging it.
THe Documents to go is my favorite feature, other than the following, because I can start working on a homework essay before getting home. The case feels fragile, but seems to be resistant. The battery cover is EXTREMELY hard to open, and I am afraid of breaking it. The screen seems scratch resistant, I feel no need to buy a case as of yet.
Though small, my FAVORITE feature includes the touchpad number screen. Like most QWERTY phones the number keys on the keyboard do not include the numbers asscoiated with those numbers, ie 1 has 'abc' etc. On the touchpad screen on the Centro the numbers include the letters, good for radio station numbers and the like. IT really bothered me that other QWERTY phones did not have this feature.
The phone is MUCH smaller than you think, a little larger than my folded razr believe it or not. the keyboard makes my fingers a little cramped, but since I've only had it two days I am already quite used to it and I expect it to get better.
I, personally, have used both this phone and the iPhone, and I feel this phone is better for me- less fragile, this keyboard is faster AND it has a feature that lets you select the intensity of the backlight, so in class when the lights are off for a power point or movie the teacher cannot see you texting by the back light, which has happened to me before. This phone is amazing and I strongly recommend it to younger people who only need casual technology.
