Overall, this phone has a lot of features for a messaging phone, and the touch screen works decently for a lower end phone. I chose this phone because out of all the messaging phones with a slide out keyboard it has by far the fewest reviews complaining of freezing and glitches, so far I haven't had it freeze or anything.
Battery life is about average, if you use the internet or Navigator a lot you'll have to charge the phone every night, I usually just send maybe 30-50 texts and a few short phone calls a day, and I get 2-3 days before it goes dead.
The touchscreen is about what you'd expect from a messaging phone, it works fairly well once you figure it out, but it does have a few quirks. You have to be very precise about where you touch to select some stuff, especially when using the internet, and it's just not fast/sensitive enough to play most games, though this does help prevent you from selecting stuff by accident, so it's kind of a trade-off.
Sound quality is pretty good, but the volume is somewhat lacking, I have to put it on max volume, if I'm outside or in another loud environment sometimes I have to put it on speakerphone to hear properly, though the sound quality is still unusually good.
I was going to give this phone a four star review, but after a couple days the left edge of the screen started started making cracking noises and popping up and down when pressed, I took it back to the store a few days later and by then the entire left half of the screen was doing it. I The replacement's screen seemed fine but the blue plastic trim around it creaks surprisingly loudly when I rest my thumb on it while I'm holding it up to my ear, probably going to get a case to get rid of this.
Now after a week the left edge of the screen on the replacement is also starting to make crackling noises, though so far it's not nearly as bad as the first one. There are fairly large gaps around the edges of the screen, and the thin design of the phone seems to be allowing an excessive amount of flexing, causing the screen to come loose. Putting some type of glue/sealant in the gaps around the screen would probably fix this, it seems to be a fairly obvious design problem, hopefully my second one doesn't get worse. I checked the display model at the store, and it was making the cracking noises as well, if you do get this phone I'd definitely get the insurance on it, I have my doubts that the screen is going to last for two years.
