I just upgraded to this phone today and I love it so far! It has all the features and apps I need and I'm loving the android operating system. I previously hald a Palm Pre Plus (which I also loved despite what anyone else thinks), so this phone is definitely much more advanced!

I would not recommend this phone to my worst enemy!!! I have had this phone a couple months now and have already had it replaced due to "software issues". I would be understanding if the first one was just a bad apple but the second one is doing the same thing. It randomly resets itself for no obvious reason, even if your in the middle of a call. It is constantly hanging up on people for reasons that are still unknown. I would say that the touch screen is sketchy at best. I have to tap the same thing multiple times to get it to register!! This phone is a pain in the backside. A major disappointment coming from the Galaxy line.

Amazing Product

I love everything about my samsung galaxy exhilarate.
I actually bought this phone online as a replacement for one that got wet. I was not aware it came with a 2.3.6 OS and have tried everything I know of to update the OS to the 4.0 that was on my previous phone but it will not allow it :- / SO DISAPPOINTED - I loved the features of my 1st phone (like being able to change the text size - paramount for an older person like me)
ProsDurable, Lightweight
Conscannot update os

Every time I want to download another APP it tell me there is not enough storage. I don't want to remove APPs that I currently have so I don't get to load any new ones.
ProsLightweight
ConsDid not meet expectations

The Exhilarate is a very nice and inexpensive phone. It is loaded with features that are common to the Galaxy family although this phone is now somewhat dated sporting a 1.2 Ghz dual-core processor and limited power/battery capacity. Otherwise, it supports 4G LTE and the size is great for shirt-pocket use. My biggest gripe is with the battery capacity. Typically, you must charge the battery every single day. No you cannot skip a day. That is annoying especially when traveling and with limited access to charging. If power capacity was better, the Exhilarate would be almost perfect considering its size and all the features, cost and capabilities. The 1 Gig RAM capacity also limiting but not a big deal. You can download most of the apps you need and some that you want you have to be selective. Can't go wild loading apps. Otherwise, this phone has all the features and is many steps above the starter smart phone. It looks good, feels good, and it works great. I really like it.

Q: Does this phone have the capability to switch between WiFi and data plan?
I was comparing this phone with the Pantech Flex and Pantech Burst, and noticed that only for the Flex did it list something under "WiFi," and it said 802.11 a/b/g/n. I know what this means, however, because I DIDN'T see this listed for this phone and for the Pantech Burst, does this mean that the only way to use the Internet is through data plan? I don't want to be stuck with a phone where I can't switch back and forth between WiFi and data. I would need to have both.

A: Hi, Krystal. All three of the devices you mentioned are capable of using WiFi or your data plan. We're not quite sure why it wasn't listed in the specs you were looking at, but they are all Smart Phones and have full access to the internet and are WiFi capable. Thanks for your question and have a good day form from AT&T Customer Care!

Q: Does this Samsung have the tap feature?
I am not a big fan of paying tons of money for a phone that will need to be replaced in about two years, so I was wondering if this Samsung has the TAP feature that the Galaxy II and III have? My friends have those, and I would like to be able to get their playlists and photos, but am unsure if this phone has the capability.

A: I'm sorry we didn't respond to this sooner. A smartphone data plan would be required when using this device, and they start at $20 per month. You can view complete details at http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/data-plans.html#fbid=3gPDUffD7n_
