2GB mem 64GB SSD LTE Surface 3 = Incredible
I had a Microsoft Surface RT before owning my Surface 3. The Surface RT ran all the Office products terrifically: Word, Excel, IE, PowerPoint, OneNote etc. The RT just could not be used to do the nice pen drawing and note taking. The Surface 3 has just been exquisite! Runs the Edge browser with many windows open, runs the Office products perfection; especially OneNote! Especially since I can use the Surface Pen to take notes, draw, do my physics and calculus problems, keep all my notes on the clSee more

I really WANTED to like it
I was dead set on committing to the Surface 3, even though the customer rep advised a different tablet would suit my needs better. Upon receiving it the touch feature went out on my touchscreen tablet. If I had not had my keyboard, it would have been useless. The battery also sucks. I just couldn't wrap my head around always having it plugged up.

Good Tablet

I was expecting a Windows 10 tablet - and ended up with a recertified Windows 8.1 tablet. Apparently recertifying the tablet brought it back to Windows 8.1. After a long conversation with AT&T and eventually Microsoft - I performed an upgrade to Windows 10. It was free - apparently it was at Windows 10 before being reset during recertification. Anyway it took 6 or 7 hours to do this. The tablet was advertised as Windows 10, so it upset me. However now - it works very well and I am happy with it. I did purchase a Surface pen for it and a 3rd party case and keyboard. It works very well and seems to be very reliable after using it for 3 weeks.

Bad, very bad.

Let me tell you about frustrated. Friday, It finally got the better of me and I smashed mine into a million pieces. MS quality control has gotten so bad that I finally got to the end of my rope.
Dearest MS. Because of all the frustration, I have to switch us to Android eco-system. I hate all things Google. And I love MS and Win 10 but you have left me no choice. While I have a 950 and like it, not near as many issues with the tablet but still issues, this is my second disappointing attempt at a surface device. 7 months of pure unadulterated aggravation and frustration. It just never worked right. Every update created new issues or brought back old ones. Wireless required rebooting, even with hibernation. Every. Day.
Now I have to go buy another tablet and my wife another phone. Not and Apple nor Android fan but alas, you have left me with the lesser of two evils. How could you? I know I contribute nothing to the stock price but is it worth losing your most loyal customers?
So, I will go to ATT and payout the remaining balance for a device I couldn't use and is no longer in working order. Normally, I would write a more detailed review. It just simply isn't worth it after what I have been through.

Dated-Processor Isn't Supported By Future Win Vers

Microsoft really does make a great computer. However, this one is dated. Keep in mind that Microsoft is no longer supporting Intel Atom chips in future versions of the operating system.
That means that this product has a short life for a computer. Move on to another Surface device.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Replacing my Surface 3 with a Restored Microsoft 3

I originally purchased my AT&T Microsoft Surface 3 to combine the ease of accessing the internet through AT&T and Microsoft Windows. The charge port was damaged and couldn’t be repaired. My local AT&T store told me that, while they could not get it through the store, I could order a restore Surface 3 from your website. I was happy to continue using the same type Tablet.
While I had equipment replacement on my account, I could not get the Surface 3, so I had to pay for replacement instead of getting a free Tablet. The second surprise was it did not have Windows 10 installed. I had to pay to download from Microsoft.
I like the Microsoft Surface 3 but disappointed with all the twists and turns with getting a Tablet to my liking.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I've been a long time Apple user and decided to make the jump. Was finally buying the hype I could replace my Laptop (I have a 1Tb MacBook Pro). I was leery because of past MS product experiences where you buy the system then come the additional charges for things you need like office, additional memory (sd card in this case) the keyboard, etc. There is no way it could ever replace my laptop. They skimped on memory in this version so things are constantly freezing on me and it is just plain S L O W. I should have gotten the Surface Pro though I'm still upset about the licensing pricing for Windows 365 just to get Office. At least Apple includes that in the price so it's not a low entry but then a bigger hit to make it functional
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: I want this machine, but, windows 10 should come on it out of the box. It was refurbished and ATT chose to put windows 8.1 on it, instead of re-installing Windows 10. I don't want to pay for an upgrade after spending this type of money on a tablet.
