1. From the Start screen, swipe left.
   
2. Scroll to, then tap Setttings.
   
3. Tap lock screen.
   
4. Tap the Password switch to turn password protection on.
   
5. Enter the desired password, then tap the Confirm password field.
   
6. Re-enter the desired password, then tap done.
   
7. The password is now set.
   
8. To change your password, tap change password, then follow the on-screen prompts.
   
9. To access your device, swipe up at the lock screen.
   
10. Enter the established password.
