Device Setup

Set up your device for the first time or after having done a factory reset.


INSTRUCTIONS & INFO
  1. When turning the device on for the first time, or after a factory reset, you will be walked through a series of prompts to set up your device. To begin, select the Desired language, then select START.
    Note: Before setting up your device, make sure you have completed the online activation process. Please see Activate your new phone or SIM for more information.  Select Accessibility to turn on accessibility features.

  2. If you would like to connect to a Wi-Fi network, select the Desired network name and follow the on screen prompts. 
    Note: Select NEXT to proceed without connecting to Wi-Fi.

  3. Review the Terms and conditions. If you agree, choose the desired options, and then select NEXT.

  4. Enter your name to personalize your device, then select NEXT.

  5. If you would like to sign into your Google account enter your Email or select Or create a new account and follow the on screen prompts for setup. Otherwise, select SKIP to proceed.

  6. Select the Desired Google services to use, then select NEXT.

  7. If you'd like to use Setup & Transfer to set up email accounts and transfer content from prior accounts, select NEXT.

  8. Follow onscreen instructions to use AT&T Mobile Transfer, then select NEXT.
    Note: Have the device you're transferring content from at the ready.

  9. The setup will take a few moments.  When complete, select NEXT.

  10. myAT&T is pre-installed in your tablet. Select OK, GOT IT.

  11. If you would like to sign in or create a Samsung account select the Desired account option for sign in. Select SKIP to proceed without signing into a Samsung account.
    Note: If you need a Samsung account, select CREATE ACCOUNT and follow the on-screen prompts, or visit https://www.samsung.com/us/support/account/.

  12. If you would like to protect your device after it's been lost or stolen, Find my mobile allows you to stop others from reactivating your device. Select the checkbox to turn on reactivation lock. Select NEXT to proceed without setting up Find my mobile.
