App Troubleshooting

Use application manager to improve your app and device performance.

  1. CLEAR APP CACHE: Swipe down from the Notification bar then select the Settings icon.

  2. Select Apps, then select the desired app.

  4. Select CLEAR CACHE.

  5. FORCE STOP AN APP: From the application info screen, select FORCE STOP. Select FORCE STOP to confirm.

  6. CHECK FOR APP UPDATE: From the Play Store app, select the Menu icon then select My apps & games.

  7. Select the desired app.

  8. Select UPDATE.
    Note: Select UPDATE ALL to download all available app updates. For this tutorial, the DIRECTV app was selected for an update.

  9. REMOVE AN APP: Select UNINSTALL. Select OK to confirm.

  10. REINSTALL AN APP: Select INSTALL from the desired app page to reinstall.
