If your AP–A device receives an AT&T cellular signal, AP–A will use your broadband by default and automatically switch to cellular if your broadband goes down.

AT&T Phone – Advanced works with most broadband connection. You’ll simply use your current modem. If the AT&T cellular network connection is unavailable, you’ll stay connected via broadband.  Just be sure the device is located in a convenient location (not in a closet, basement, or other hard-to-reach-location).
