How a Wi-Fi extender may help you improve your AT&T internet performance

What are Wi-Fi extenders?

Your home wireless internet works by broadcasting a Wi-Fi signal from the gateway to your connected devices. In some cases, however, something can block the Wi-Fi signal from reaching parts of your home. For example, if there is a wall between the gateway and your computer, that might cause issues. Longer distance from the gateway can also cause connectivity or performance issues.

Wi-Fi extenders are devices that may help solve this problem. They take the signal from your Wi-Fi gateway, and they expand it to other areas of your home to reduce signal weak spots and dead zones. Some Wi-Fi extenders can extend the signal up to 1,000 sq. ft.
