Changing your Quick Share settings
Nearby Share is a feature of Google's mobile and desktop operating systems Android and Chrome OS that allows data to be transferred via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It allows the rapid short-range exchange of images, videos, text, contact info, directions, YouTube videos, and other data.

From the Settings app, tap Connected devices.

Tap Connection preferences.

Tap Quick Share.
Quick Share allows data to be transferred via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to other Android or Chrome OS devices.

Tap Who can share with you.
From this screen, you can control which devices can share to your phone with Quick Share.

Choose who can see your device by selecting a visibility preference.
- Your devices: Even when your screen is off, your device stays visible to other devices signed in to your Google Account.
- Contacts: When your screen is on and unlocked, your device is visible to nearby contacts.
- Everyone: When your screen is on and unlocked, your device is visible to anyone nearby. Select Only for 10 minutes to automatically switch back to your previous after 10 minutes.
