Scanning documents and text with your Camera App
Scan documents and extract desired text directly through your camera app.
1.
From the Camera app, tap the Quick Settings icon.

Tap the Settings icon.
3.
Tap Scan documents and text.
4.
Tap or slide the Scan documents and text switch to ON.
You can enable Auto Scan to scan documents automatically once the camera detects them, without needing to capture the image manually.
5.
Tap the Back icon.
6.
Tap the Back icon again.
7.
To scan a document, hold your phone camera up to the text in question and tap the Text scan icon.
You can also take a photo and extract the text from it afterward.
8.
Tap Scan.
9.
Tap Save.
10.
You've completed the steps!
