Viewing current traffic
You can view different layers in the Maps app such as traffic or satellite. Each layer can be turned on or off.
1.
From the Google Maps main screen, tap the Layers icon.

Tap Traffic.
3.
Tap the X icon on the popup to view your changes.

You've completed the steps!
