Sending a Next-Gen message to a group
With Next-Gen Messaging, you can see when people in a group have read your messages. All members of the group need to have Next-Gen Messaging enabled in order for this functionality to work.
1.
From a composed message, tap the Add recipients icon.
To send a Next-gen message to a group, all members must have chat features enabled. Otherwise, your chat will be converted into standard MMS:

Enter a contact name.

Select the contact.
If necessary, select which number of the contact's numbers you would like to send to.
,Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add more recipients to the group message.

Tap Next.

Enter the group name.

Tap Next.

Tap the Send icon.
8.
You've completed the steps!
