1. The Status bar displays icons that show the current status of the device.
   
2. The current date and time displays under the status bar.
   
3. The text and graphic area displays alerts and text on the home screen as well as a background.
   
4. The Soft Key indicators display relevant options associated with the Left and Right Soft Keys.
