1. Messaging settings may be adjusted individually, or you may quickly restore all message settings to their default configuration by tapping Messaging > Menu icon > Settings > Menu icon > Restore default settings.
   
2. From the home screen, tap Messaging icon.
   
3. Press the Menu icon, and then tap Settings.
   
4. Your settings will automatically be saved.
   
5. To adjust messaging notifications, tap Select ringtone.
   
6. Tap the desired tone, then tap OK.
   
7. To adjust messaging display, tap Dialog patterns.
   
8. Tap the desired dialog pattern.
   
9. To receive emergency alerts, tap Receive emergency alerts.
   
10. Check or uncheck the alerts as desired.
